Fall Classic brings Freeman to Whynot Motorsports Park
On Friday afternoon, Payton Freeman invaded Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) on Friday afternoon for the 29th-annual Coors Light Fall Classic.
With a pair of preliminary features slated for Friday evening, Payton qualified fifth-fastest in his time trial group before recording a third-place outing in his heat. In the first $3,000-to-win prelim, Freeman finished just outside the Top-10 in 11th.
For Saturday's $15,000-to-win finale, Freeman snatched the final transfer spot in his heat race which placed him on the eighth row of the 60-lap main event. Pulling off only a third of the way into the feature, Payton recorded a 17th-place finish.
