Bad luck continues for Freeman at East Alabama Motor Speedway
Returning to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) for Friday's rain-postponed Southern Nationals Series event, Payton Freeman prepared for a two-day weekend at the track.
With the original qualifying results placing him on the third row for the $7,553-to-win feature, Freeman was running fifth when mechanical issues struck and he was forced to pull off early in 19th.
Hoping for better luck with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series on Saturday, Payton started the $10,000-to-win main event from the seventh-position and was once again running inside the Top-10 when a flat tire ended his night. He was again scored 19th.
