Payton Freeman tackles Bama Bash at Talladega Short Track
Back with the tour for the second week in a row, Payton Freeman was one of 50 drivers signed in with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Friday afternoon for night one of the Bama Bash.
Laying down the third-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Freeman finished runner-up in his heat race and earned a fifth-row starting spot in the main event. With $8,000 on the line, Payton recorded a 13th-place outing.
The following night, Payton took a provisional starting spot and finished 21st in the $12,000-to-win finale.
Freeman is currently 12th in the series point standings.
