Podium finish in Clash at the Mag opener with Comp Cams Super Dirt Series
After a few weeks off, Payton Freeman joined a 49-car field at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) on Friday for the first night of the Clash at the Mag with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.
For the $4,000-to-win opener, Freeman started eighth in the quick 30-lap feature and wound up on the podium in third. He trailed Spencer Hughes and Ashton Winger while Chad Thrash and Stormy Scott completed the Top-5.
Starting ninth in Saturday's $12,000-to-win finale, Payton raced into the Top-5 before mechanical issues caused him to pull up lame. He was scored 23rd.
