12th-place finish in Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series opener at All-Tech

After a short hiatus, Payton Freeman returned to the driver's seat of his family owned No. F1 Late Model for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series season opener at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Friday afternoon.

For the rain-shortened Southbound Throwdown, Freeman recorded a sixth-place finish in his heat race and was unable to earn a feature transfer spot through his B-Main. Receiving a provisional for the $20,000-to-win feature, Payton tore through the field and passed 15 competitors on his way to a 12th-place finish.
