Top-10 finish with Iron-Man Series at Lake Cumberland

Payton Freeman entered a single event over the weekend by visiting Lake Cumberland Speedway (Burnside, Ky.) for the Harold Hardgrove Memorial.

In a field of 33 Valvoline Iron-Man Southern Series entries, Freeman laid down the fourth-fastest time in his group before placing second in his heat. Losing two spots in the 40-lap feature, Payton notched an eighth-place finish.
