Late flat tire slows Freeman at I-75 Raceway
With Friday’s opener at Boyd’s Speedway (Ringgold, Ga.) falling to Mother Nature, Payton Freeman made his lone start of the weekend on Saturday with the XR Southern All Star Series at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) for the Dirt Slinger Classic. (Michael Moats photos)
Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in seventh via his qualifying effort, Freeman was running in the top-five late when a flat right-rear dropped him to eighth when the checkered flag flew.
