Pair of Top-10 finishes in Spring Nationals doubleheader at Buckshot and East Alabama

Kicking off a doubleheader weekend in the state of Alabama, Payton Freeman unloaded his Coltman Farms Racing No. F1 machine at Buckshot Speedway (Clanton, Ala.) on Friday evening for the $7,553-to-win Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals event.

Stopping the clock second-fastest in his qualifying group, Freeman started the 40-lap main event from the second-row and rounded out the Top-5 in fifth when the checkered flag flew.

Following the series to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon, Payton started the 53-lap feature from the 14th-position and gained seven positions to record his second Top-10 of the weekend in seventh.
